The Canyon Lake Lodge was constructed in the year 2000, 23 years ago. Many of the finishes inside this building are original and very worn and dated. The bar area was last updated in 2014, over nine years ago. We hired an excellent design team to coordinate two major projects to update this facility after two decades of hard use. A new solar project will soon be delivering clean and renewable energy to some of our busiest facilities. Solar panels on steel carport structures will be installed at in the Canyon Lake Lodge parking lot, and overhead solar array structures will be installed at the Canyon Lake Country Club and at the Equestrian Center. There is arena maintenance coming up at the Equestrian Center and the jumping and turn-out arenas will be closed March 8 through March 16. Then dressage arena will be closed for two days with an estimated completion time for this entire project being March 20.

Sunset Beach playground will be closed on Saturday, February 11 due to construction work on the slope next to the playground. Please follow all posted signage and fencing.

Our solar project is well underway, with structures currently going up at the Equestrian Center and Lodge. A solar array structure will also be added at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club. The Canyon Lake POA is now accepting bids for the second phase of the Pickleball Courts, adding two additional courts. All bids for this project are due by February 2 before 2 p.m. A job walkthrough will be conducted on January 10 at 10 a.m. at the project site. Please be advised that the visitor lane at Main Gate will be closed on Wednesday, November 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the installation of a new microphone for the audio system. If you have visitors coming during this time, please advise them to use East Gate or North Gate.

We are currently accepting bids for the Canyon Lake Drive South Median Improvements project. Bids are due by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The Main Gate middle lane gate is currently not functioning, and it is in the up position. A gate guard is at that gate authorizing access to vehicles. We are working with our vendor to get the gate repaired as soon as possible. This post will be updated once we have an ETA on when the gate will be fixed.

The remodeled restrooms at Happy Camp are now open for use over the long weekend, as planned. Final punch list items including path lighting, some tile and grouting in the showers, and other landscaping/clean-up work will be wrapped up next week. This week the restroom footings were formed and poured at Sierra Park North. Additionally, paving crews completed paving and striping, and pump track fencing. The entire park will remain closed during construction and the park is expected to be complete by July/August 2022.
