Located adjacent to the Canyon Lake Lodge and overlooking the community's beautiful lake is home to Canyon Lake's expansive tennis program. Featuring six lighted tennis courts, a shaded viewing deck, and outdoor patio the tennis center serves up weekly play, private and group lessons, camps, special events, and more all year long.

The tennis courts are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. All members in good standing are welcome to use the tennis courts at their leisure when courts are available.

Meet Our Tennis Pro
Bobby Kielty took the position of Canyon Lake's Tennis Pro in 2021 after years of being an active member in the tennis community. A former MLB player, Bobby was able to easily translate many of his baseball skills into tennis after retiring from the majors. He has served on Canyon Lake's Tennis Club Board for several years and has helped run many clinics and programs in the community. Bobby offers group and private lessons at the tennis courts and also leads the Junior Tennis program that takes place at the courts on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Free Tennis Clinics
Sundays & Mondays at 10 a.m.
Learn the basics of tennis with Canyon Lake’s Head Tennis Pro, Bobby Kielty. These FREE beginner adult clinics are Sundays and Mondays at 10 a.m. Tennis racquets and balls are provided. Please wear athletic attire and avoid wearing sandals or jeans. These clinics are a great opportunity to learn more about the sport! Reservations are required and can be made by calling 951-760-1813.

How long can I play on the courts?
A single player practicing is limited to 30 minutes when players are waiting (Rules & Regulations, Tennis Courts, Section 3.3). Single play is limited to 60 minutes when other players are waiting and for doubles. Play is limited to 90 minutes when other players are waiting. Exception is USTA League Play and Tournaments (Rules & Regulations, Tennis Courts, Section 3.4).
Is there a dress code?
Players are required to wear non-marking tennis shoes on the courts at all times. Aside from non-marking tennis shoes there is no official dress code, however players are encouraged to wear appropriate tennis or athletic apparel while on the courts.
How do I sign in?
Prior to entering the courts, members are required to register their name and start time for a specific court number on the sign-in board. Failure to sign-in will result in forfeiture of the court if players are waiting (Rules & Regulations, Tennis Courts, Section 3.1).
How do I reserve a tennis court?
The tennis courts are reservable for league play and tournaments. All other activities are on a first come-first serve basis. Residents can view the tennis courts schedule online.
